History

The flag of Rezina District in Moldova was designed by S. Andriesh-Tabac and Ion Stan, with artistic work by Marianna Shlapak. It was adopted by the district council on 6 March 2008 and ratified by the National Heraldry Commission on 23 May 2008. The blue fields symbolize the sky and the nearby Nistru River, the central white stripe represents peace and purity, and the yellow cross reflects Christian heritage and historic local emblems.
