History
The flag represents the West Pomeranian Voivodeship of Poland. Its coat of arms uses the red griffin, a long-standing Pomeranian heraldic symbol associated with the historic Duchy of Pomerania. The modern voivodeship flag was adopted in the early 2000s after the 1999 administrative reform, preserving historical regional symbolism in a simplified flag form.
