History
The flag of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship was officially adopted in 2002. It is a red banner in 1:2 proportion ending in a triangular swallow-tail, with the voivodeship’s coat of arms centered on the field. The emblem combines the white Polish eagle and a black griffin as references to Warmia, Masuria, and the Polish state tradition, while the red field recalls the historic heraldry of Warmia.
