History
The flag of the Republic of Mordovia, a federal subject of Russia, was adopted on 23 November 1995, replacing an earlier 1991–1995 version. Its design uses the Russian national colors and features a traditional Mordvin ornamental motif derived from historic embroidery, symbolizing cultural heritage, unity, and continuity.
