Rakhine

The flag of Rakhine State in Myanmar is a bicolour of white and red charged with the Shrivatsa, a historical symbol of Arakan, on a blue disk in the center. The white and red fields are traditionally associated with purity and bravery, while the blue disk represents peace and unity. The design was adopted for civil and state use in the early 21st century, and the same bicolour format has also been used by various Rakhine ethnic organizations and political parties with different central symbols.
