History

Virovitica-Podravina County is a county of Croatia. Its current flag was officially approved on 12 July 1996 after an earlier 1994 draft was rejected. A historic county flag from the late 18th century was a vertical red banner bearing the coat of arms and the inscription “PRO: DEO: REGE: ET: LEGE MDCCLXXXIX”.
