History
The current flag of Zagreb County was officially adopted in 1995. It forms part of the modern system of Croatian county symbols established after Croatia’s independence, drawing on the county’s heraldic tradition. An earlier county flag is documented from 1832 and is preserved in the Croatian Historical Museum.
