History

Dubrovnik-Neretva County adopted this flag on 5 March 1996. Its design was created by architect Francesca Danese-Katić. The central arms combine symbols of the county’s historic regions: the red-and-white bars derive from the historic arms of the Republic of Dubrovnik, while the boat represents the Neretva delta and maritime tradition, and the tower represents Korčula and its fortified heritage.
