Koprivnica-Križevci County

Koprivnica-Križevci County adopted this flag in late 1995 after a public competition, and it entered official use in 1996. The design was created by architecture student Antonio Grgić. The centered coat of arms symbolizes the county’s geography and historical identity: red refers to the northern Prekodravlje region, white represents the Drava River and related waterways, and the green base stands for the Kalnik and Bilogora hills. The rooster is associated with Koprivnica and Đurđevac, while the triple cross links the design to Križevci and the medieval County of Križevci. The flag follows the customary 1:2 format used for Croatian county flags.
