Koggenland

Koggenland became a municipality on 1 January 2007 through the merger of Obdam and Wester-Koggenland. Its flag was adopted for the new municipality and uses ten converging triangular fields in yellow, blue, and white to form a stylized letter K, representing the municipality’s initial. The design is notable among Dutch municipal flags for not being derived from a coat of arms and instead emphasizing a simple modern geometric identity.
