History
Kinmen County uses a green flag with its official seal centered on the field. The seal depicts a stylized outline of historic Kinmen fortifications together with the characters 金門, expressing the county’s martial heritage, natural landscape, and local identity. The green field represents hope, vitality, and the islands’ lush environment. The design was adopted in the mid-1990s for official county use.
