History
The flag of Kherson Oblast was officially adopted on 25 March 1998. Its blue stripes symbolize the region’s extensive waterways, while the white stripe denotes purity and sincerity. The coat of arms reflects regional heritage and economic themes through elements including an anchor, an ear of wheat, a compass, and the historic Ochakiv Gate of the Kherson Fortress.
