Odesa Oblast

The flag of Odesa Oblast was officially adopted on 21 February 2002 by the Odesa Oblast Council. It has proportions of 2:3 and consists of three equal vertical stripes of yellow, blue, and white with the oblast coat of arms, without its wreath, centered on the blue stripe. The silver anchor is taken from the historic coat of arms of the city of Odesa, while the surrounding anchors symbolize the seven ports of the oblast. The wheat ears represent agriculture, and the grape cluster represents viticulture and winemaking traditions.
