History
The Bicentennial Banner of Mississippi was unveiled in 2017 to commemorate the 200th anniversary of Mississippi’s admission to the Union in 1817. It uses a horizontal tricolor of Old Glory Blue, white, and Old Glory Red with the state seal centered on the white stripe. The inscriptions mark the founding year and the bicentennial year, and the design served as a temporary commemorative banner tied to the state’s bicentennial observance.
