Red flag of the Isle of Man with a centered gold triskelion of three armored legs with spurs.
The flag of the Isle of Man was officially adopted on 1 December 1932. It displays the Manx triskelion, known in Manx as ny_tree_cassyn, derived from the island’s 13th-century coat of arms. The three armored legs arranged clockwise symbolize strength, resilience, and self-reliance, and are associated with the motto Quocunque Jeceris Stabit, meaning “whichever way you throw it, it will stand.” The red field is associated with courage and vitality.
