The flag of Seychelles features five diagonal bands of blue, yellow, red, white, and green radiating from the lower hoist corner toward the fly.
The current flag of Seychelles was adopted in 1996 and officially hoisted on 18 June 1996. Designed by Philip Uzice, it uses five oblique bands of blue, yellow, red, white, and green in a 1:2 proportion. The colors symbolize the sky and sea, the sun, the people and their unity and determination, social justice and harmony, and the land and natural environment. Its radiating design expresses movement toward a dynamic and inclusive future.
