History
The flag of Primorsky Krai was adopted on 31 March 1995. Its design uses white, red, and blue with the regional coat of arms element rendered on the flag. The emblem refers to the region’s role in Russia’s Far East, while the blue element in the arms represents the Pacific Ocean and maritime heritage; gold symbolizes natural wealth and prosperity, and white conveys purity and openness.
