Rivas

The flag of the Rivas department in Nicaragua consists of a white field with the department’s coat of arms centered. The white background represents peace and unity. The coat of arms symbolizes Rivas’s volcanic geography, maritime trade, and agricultural abundance. The flag was formally adopted in the mid-1970s during a broader effort to provide Nicaragua’s departments with official banners reflecting their identities.
