History
Békés County uses a flag in the Hungarian county style with a plain field and the county coat of arms centered. The present design was adopted in the early 1990s during the re-establishment of county symbols after the end of state socialism, reviving a heraldic composition rooted in the county’s 18th-century seal tradition.
