History
The regional flag of Roslagen was introduced in the summer of 2020 and was created by Erik Rudolfsson of Östhammar. Roslagen is the coastal district of the traditional province of Uppland. Its design follows Nordic-cross flag traditions. The blue and yellow colors echo the pre-1906 Swedish national flag, while the white border symbolizes the breaking waves and winter ice associated with the surrounding sea. A flag day was proposed for 21 June at midday, aligned with the summer solstice.
