History
This Nordic-cross variant of Normandy’s flag is known as St Olaf’s cross. It uses the same red and gold colors associated with Norman heraldry and reflects the Scandinavian heritage of the Norman dukes. It exists alongside the more traditional Norman flag bearing two gold lions passant guardant on a red field.
