History
The flag of Bayankhongor Aymag uses a light blue field associated with Mongolia’s clear sky and steppe traditions. Its central emblem represents the province’s landscape and cultural identity, including a horse motif tied to Mongolian nomadic life and yellow coloring signifying prosperity and mineral wealth. The design was adopted in the early 1990s during Mongolia’s democratic transition.
