History
The flag of Chin State was adopted in 2010. Its design features a blue-red-green tricolor with a stylized great hornbill at the center. The great hornbill is associated with loyalty, commitment, family, and faith in Chin symbolism. The blue stripe represents unity and the sky, the red stripe represents bravery and the spirit of the people, and the green stripe represents fertile land and agriculture. The nine stars represent the nine major Chin sub-tribes, and the branch motif refers to the region’s forests.
