Budapest (1873-2011)
#10124
The current flag of Budapest was officially adopted in 2011. It uses a white background associated with peace and unity and places the city’s coat of arms at the center. The arms combine symbols of Buda and Pest above stylized blue waves representing the Danube, and the mural crown signifies municipal authority. The design reflects the city’s medieval heritage, the union of its historic parts, and its role as Hungary’s political, cultural, and economic centre.
