Flag of Apulia with a white field, green hoist stripe, red fly stripe, and a central coat of arms beneath the gold inscription “REGIONE PUGLIA”.
The flag of Apulia was adopted on 10 August 2001 by Regional Law No. 22. Its green and red side bands recall the colors of the national flag of Italy. The central octagonal emblem refers to Castel del Monte, the 13th-century octagonal fortress built by Frederick II, and the olive tree symbolizes peace, brotherhood, and the importance of olive cultivation in Apulia.
