#10568 · Bolivia
Bolivia’s national flag, known as “La Tricolor,” was officially adopted on 31 October 1851. The civil version is a plain horizontal tricolor of red, yellow, and green, while the state and war flags add the national coat of arms in the center. The design is attributed to Manuel Isidoro Belzu. According to later decrees, red represents the courage and blood shed by Bolivia’s soldiers and independence heroes, yellow represents the country’s mineral wealth, and green symbolizes fertile lands and hope for the future.
