History
The provincial flag of Lampung was officially adopted in 1965 following the creation of Lampung as a separate province. Its red field symbolizes bravery and the red-white heritage of Indonesia, the central white stripe represents purity and the coastal seas bordering the province, and the golden five-pointed star signifies a guiding spirit, wealth, and the province’s five traditional sub-ethnic groups.
