A white flag with the red cross of St George and Alderney’s coat of arms centered at the crossing.
Alderney’s flag uses the red cross of St George with the island’s coat of arms at the center. The coat of arms was granted by King Edward VII in 1906, while the flag was formally recognized on 20 December 1993. The design had been used unofficially for many years before formal recognition. Alderney is a Channel Island forming part of the Bailiwick of Guernsey, a self-governing possession of the British Crown.
