Flag of the Valencian Community in a 2:3 ratio, featuring a blue hoist band with ornate gold decoration and a crowned emblem beside yellow and red horizontal stripes.
The flag of the Valencian Community was adopted on 1 July 1982 and is commonly produced in a 2:3 ratio. It is based on the traditional Senyera, with four red bars on a yellow field, and adds a blue hoist band bearing the community’s crowned heraldic identity. The red and yellow bars recall the historic Crown of Aragon, while the blue stripe and emblem distinguish Valencia and its medieval kingdom. The design developed from medieval banners and later Valencian variants into the present official civil and state flag.
