Flag of the Principality of Samos (1834–1912), a white Greek cross on a quartered field with red upper quarters and blue lower quarters.
The flag was used by the Principality of Samos from 1834 to 1912, during the island’s period of self-government under Ottoman suzerainty. Its cross reflected the island’s Orthodox Christian and Greek identity, while the design served as the principality’s official emblem until union with Greece in 1912.
