History
The flag of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District was adopted on 28 November 1996. Its design features a sky-blue field, a thin red stripe along the lower edge, and a stylized white crown ornament derived from the traditional Khor-Lambey motif of the Nenets peoples. The design was created by Gennady Sysolyatin.
