History

The flag of Wiltz Canton is a banner of the cantonal arms, using the historic colors gold and red associated with Wiltz. It has been described as the first reported cantonal flag in Luxembourg. Luxembourg’s cantons have not been official administrative entities with legal status for coats of arms or flags, but the design has nevertheless been used in vexillological references and has been seen flying at Wiltz.
