History
Västernorrlands län vapenflagga is a banner of the county arms of Västernorrland in Sweden. The arms were granted in 1949 and the flag was adopted shortly afterward. Its imagery represents the county’s waters and great rivers, especially the Norr River, together with traditions of fishing, river trade, and maritime activity.
