The flag of Utah is a horizontal blue, white, and red tricolor with a jagged white middle band suggesting mountain peaks, centered with a gold-outlined blue hexagon containing a gold beehive above a white star.
Utah adopted this flag on March 9, 2024. Its design uses a blue upper band for the state's skies and lakes, a white mountain-shaped central band for snow-capped peaks and peace, and a red lower band for the red-rock canyons of southern Utah and perseverance. The central gold-outlined blue hexagon represents unity, strength, and prosperity, while the gold beehive continues Utah’s long-standing Industry symbol and the white star refers to hope, Utah’s 1896 statehood, and its place as the 45th state.
