Flag of Usulután with three horizontal bands and a central departmental coat of arms on the white stripe.
The flag of Usulután follows the blue-white-blue arrangement associated with El Salvador. It bears the department’s coat of arms at the center, representing the region’s volcanic landscape, agricultural fertility, and aspirations for prosperity. Usulután became a separate department in 1865, and the current flag form was formally adopted in the early twentieth century during a period when Salvadoran departments developed their own emblematic banners.
