Flag of Tak Province, Thailand, featuring seven horizontal purple and yellow stripes with a blue hoist triangle bearing the provincial seal.
The flag of Tak Province uses seven alternating purple and yellow stripes with a blue hoist triangle bearing the provincial seal. The seal depicts King Naresuan pouring water over the neck of an elephant, commemorating the historic 1584 conflict in which Naresuan’s forces defeated the Burmese and symbolizing the province’s martial heritage and Thai sovereignty. The purple stripes represent dignity and authority, the yellow honors the monarchy as Thailand’s royal color, and the blue triangle signifies unity and provincial identity. The present striped-and-seal design was introduced in the mid-20th century as part of the adoption of distinctive provincial flags in Thailand.
