White flag of Saladin Governorate, Iraq, bearing a large central golden circular emblem with Iraq’s national tricolor at the top, a map of Iraq, an equestrian figure of Saladin, and curved Arabic text below.
Saladin Governorate is named after Saladin, the founder of the Ayyubid dynasty. The flag uses a white field with the governorate emblem centered, combining the Iraqi national colors with local imagery. The emblem features a map of Iraq, the historic river courses of the Tigris and Euphrates, and an equestrian statue of Saladin. The design appeared in official provincial council material in 2015 and was standardized on the flag in 2017.
