The flag of Perak is a horizontal tricolor of white, yellow, and black in equal bands.
The flag of Perak was adopted on 31 January 1879. Its design consists of three equal horizontal bands of white, yellow, and black in a 1:2 proportion. The colors represent three branches of the Perak royal family: white for the reigning Sultan, yellow for the Raja Muda, and black for the Raja Di Hilir. Its three colors, together with red, also informed the palette later used in the flag of the British Federated Malay States.
