Gelderland

The flag of Gelderland was officially adopted on 15 April 1953. Its blue, gold, and black stripes are derived from the province’s coat of arms, which in turn traces back to the medieval arms of the Duchy of Guelders. Unlike many provincial flags, it has no emblem and serves primarily as an administrative provincial banner. The usual proportion is 2:3.
