History
The flag of Leova District is a locally used district banner in Moldova. It has been described as a white field with the district arms centered and was formalized by the district council in 1992, shortly after Moldova’s independence. The district symbolism is associated with the fertile plains, the Prut River, grain cultivation, and historical ties to the Romanian principalities.
