History
Since 2025, Kirkuk Governorate has used a white flag bearing the governorate’s official seal at the center. The seal represents key elements of Kirkuk’s identity, including oil, agriculture, the historic citadel, and a message of peace and unity among the governorate’s diverse communities. It replaced an earlier white-background flag that used an older version of the seal without the olive-branch wreath.
