History
The current flag of Hsinchu County was adopted in 2019. Its blue-green field symbolizes the county’s sky, sea, and fertile land. The modernized central emblem combines a stylized bamboo leaf with a gear-like element, representing both Hsinchu’s agricultural roots, especially bamboo cultivation, and its role as a high-tech center associated with Hsinchu Science Park. This design replaced an earlier white flag with the older emblem.
