History
The flag of Komárom-Esztergom County is a white field charged with the county coat of arms, usually in 2:3 proportions. It was officially adopted in the early 2000s after the 1999 administrative reform that combined the historic Komárom and Esztergom counties. The arms unite symbols associated with the two former counties and reflect the region’s historic identity, river landscape, fortifications, and cultural heritage.
