History
The flag of Chernivtsi Oblast was officially adopted on 12 December 2001. The design was created by N. Shcherbak. Its proportions are 2:3. The green field represents Green Bukovyna and hope for prosperity, the blue stripe recalls Ukraine’s national color and the region’s rivers, the yellow stripe symbolizes amber grain fields, and the white falcon stands for beauty, agility, and martial valor.
