Banner of the Qulla Suyu (1979)

The Banner of the Qulla Suyu is a modern design created in 1979 by the Bolivian artist Germán Choque Condori. It represents the historic Qulla Suyu, the southern region of the Inca realm, and is commonly known as the Qulla Suyu Wiphala. The design became associated with indigenous movements in the late 20th century and the southern Qullasuyu Wiphala was recognized in Bolivia's 2009 constitution as a co-national flag alongside the national tricolor.
