History
The flag of the Bangka-Belitung Islands province was officially adopted in 2000. Its emblem includes a five-pointed shield representing the five principles of Pancasila, a stylized map of the Bangka-Belitung archipelago representing the land and its inhabitants, and a golden star symbolizing the province’s natural-resource wealth, especially its historic tin mining industry.
