Bandera de la Comarca Ngäbe-Buglé

The flag represents the Ngäbe-Buglé Comarca, the indigenous autonomous region in western Panama. Its colors symbolize heritage, culture, and community identity: green represents the forest and land, red evokes the blood and strength of ancestors, and white stands for peace and unity between the two ethnic groups of the comarca. It was officially adopted in connection with the creation of the comarca in the 1990s and is used in official acts, cultural ceremonies, and on public buildings as a symbol of indigenous autonomy.
