History
Arkhangai Province uses a flag based on its provincial emblem. The design reflects the province’s nomadic culture, mountainous landscape, and water resources through the horse, mountains, and river imagery, while the Soyombo symbolizes freedom, independence, and connection to the wider Mongolian identity. The flag was adopted in the early 1990s during the period when Mongolia’s aimags received distinct visual symbols following democratic reforms.
