Andorra la Vella

Andorra’s national flag is a vertical tricolour of blue, yellow, and red, with the central yellow stripe slightly wider than the outer bands and the national coat of arms centered on it. The tricolour dates to 1866 and was formally standardised in 1993. Earlier Andorran flags included a yellow-and-red vertical bicolour used from 1806 to 1866. The colours reflect Andorra’s historic ties with France and Spain and are associated with unity, freedom, and independence.
