History
The flag of Abruzzo is the official flag of the Italian region of Abruzzo. It was adopted on 21 May 1999 under regional law no. 29, following earlier law no. 26 of 1986, and was most recently amended by law no. 59 on 27 December 2023. The flag has a 2:3 proportion. The coat of arms symbolizes the region’s geography: white for the snow-capped Apennine peaks, green for the hilly interior and the three national parks, and blue for the Adriatic Sea.
